Biography

As chief executive officer of Baptist Hospital, Bo Boulenger leads an organization that generates net revenues in excess of $1 billion. With a team of 5,000 employees, 1,400 physicians and 500 volunteers, he has directed the hospital’s climb into the top 10 percent of hospitals in the nation for both patient satisfaction and quality. The 728-bed hospital is home to the fourth busiest Emergency Center in the southeast, as well as the world-renowned Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, a Baptist Center of Excellence in Neuroscience, and Baptist Children’s Hospital. Baptist Hospital is part of Baptist Health South Florida, the largest faith-based, not-for-profit healthcare organization in the region. Baptist Health, one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” and a member of Ethisphere Institute’s prestigious list of the “World’s Most Ethical Companies,” is a $2.5 billion organization composed of 10 hospitals, a regional comprehensive cancer center and more than 50 outpatient facilities spanning three counties. Mr. Boulenger has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare administration. He was named CEO of Baptist Hospital in August 2006 after serving as CEO of Homestead Hospital since 1994 and senior leader at South Miami Hospital since 1985.
