Lisa Konczal

Biography

Lisa Konczal, professor of sociology and criminology, teaches courses on sociology, juvenile delinquency, perspective consciousness & social justice and research methodology. Her professional interests include immigration-ethnicity studies, global stratification and sociology of education. After completing her Ph.D. from Florida International University she did post-doctoral research with the Center for Migration and Development at Princeton University. Konczal has presented her work at regional and national conferences. Her recent work on the lives of immigrants has been published in The International Journal of Educational Policy, Research, and Practice; Ethnic & Racial Studies; and the ANNALS of the American Academy of Political and Social Science.
