Roberta Studwell

Biography

Dean Roberta Studwell has held positions at a variety of traditional and non-traditional law schools, including serving as Associate Dean for Library and Information Services and Professor at the Ave Maria School of Law immediately prior to joining the Barry University School of Law faculty. Dean Studwell has provided service and expertise in a number of progressively responsible roles for over thirty years Her role as a faculty member and administrator at Barry Law includes planning, policy development, personnel management, teaching, writing, and mentoring. Dean Studwell’s teaching has included courses in Negotiation, Lawyering Process/Legal Writing, and Advanced Legal Research. She has also guest lectured in a variety of specialized topical areas including copyright, administrative law, and privacy. She has published extensively, including contributing articles to the ABA section journals, the Michigan Bar Journal, and to the American Association of Law Libraries Spectrum magazine. As editor of the American Association of Law Libraries’ Briefs in Law Librarianship series she assisted a number of law librarians in bringing over fifteen survey instruments and documents through the publication process. Dean Studwell primarily writes in the areas of privacy, technology, process improvement, and library management.
