Biography
Manfredo Rübens assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, BASF Corporation, Florham Park, New Jersey in January 2016. Manfredo leads the North American service platforms in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America, including Finance & Accounting; Controlling; Tax & Insurance; Internal Audit; Procurement; Information Systems; Supply Chain Operations; Human Resources and Corporate Communications. He is also responsible for the Health and Nutrition, Construction Chemicals and Crop Protection businesses in North America. Prior to his current assignment, Manfredo held positions at BASF’s global headquarters in Ludwigshafen, Germany as President of Finance from 2008-2015 and as Vice President, of Corporate Controlling in 2005 – 2007. In 2001, he became Vice President of Planning, Controlling and Post Merger Integration and Agricultural Products in Mount Olive, New Jersey and in Ludwigshafen. In 1998, Manfredo was Director of the Regional Functional Unit Accounting, Controlling, Treasury, Credit and Collection in São Paulo, Brazil. He served as Director of Finance for BASF Corporation in Mount Olive in 1995. Manfredo joined BASF in 1991 as a Capital Markets specialist in Ludwigshafen. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Manfredo studied business administration in Mannheim, Germany and graduated as Diplom-Kaufmann. Manfredo is married and has three children.
