Biography
Mr. José E. Almeida, also known as Joe, has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Baxter International Inc. since January 1, 2016 and serves as its President. Mr. Almeida has more than 25 years of experience in health care, including medical devices, consumer health products, surgical instruments and biopharmaceuticals. He served as an Operating Executive in the Global Healthcare group at The Carlyle Group LP from May 4, 2015 to October 2015.
