Biography
Lindsay R. Wilkinson is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Sociology in department of sociology at Baylor University. She has completed her PhD in Sociology and Gerontology at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana in 2014 & M.S. in Sociology Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana in 2010 & B.A. in Sociology and Psychology in 2008. Dr. Lindsay Wilkinson’s research and teaching interests include medical sociology, social stratification and health, aging and the life course, and quantitative methods. Her current projects include an examination of financial strain and health among older adults during the Great Recession, including the role of resilience, and trajectories of health problems and poverty among young and middle-aged women over three decades. She is also investigating unmet needs among chronic disease patients and their family caregivers.
