Biography
Dr. Paul Froese is a professor of sociology and a research fellow for the Institute for Studies of Religion. He has been teaching and researching at Baylor since 2002. A prolific author of books and articles, his research interests include the sociology of meaning, religion, comparative historical sociology, political sociology and ideology. His latest book, On Purpose: a Sociology of Life’s Meaning, will appear soon. He has completed his PhD in Sociology at University of Washington in 2003 & MA in Sociology at University of Washington in 1999, MA in Philosophy at University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in 1992 & BA in Russian Grinnell College: 1990. His area of interest includes Ideology and Culture, Comparative-Historical Sociology, Political Sociology, Sociology of Religion, Social Theory. He had publications in many national and international journals.
