Biography
John Owen serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Beam Suntory. Owen came to Beam following a 30-year career in supply chain, operations, business transformation, strategy and finance career with Avon Products, Inc. Most recently, Owen served as the company’s SVP, Chief Supply Chain Officer and was responsible for Beam Suntory's operations, including 20 distilleries, bottling plants and operating units throughout the world, as well as the company's supply chain, procurement, quality and technical services. Prior to his role in operations and supply chain, Owen served from 2004 to 2006 as SVP and President Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) with full P&L responsibility for 32 diverse markets and total revenue of $2.3 billion. From 2002 to 2004, Owen held the role of SVP Business Transformation. In his first 20 years with the company, Owen served in a number of finance leadership positions with increasing responsibility, including Group VP Corporate Finance, responsible for the controllership function, as well as CFO North America. Owen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Siena College located in Albany, N.Y., and received his Master of Business Administration degree from Pace University in White Plains, N.Y.
