Alan M. Dachs

Biography

 Mr. Alan M. Dachs has been the Chief Executive Officer of Fremont Group since 1995 and has been its President since 1989. He serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Sequoia Ventures, Inc. and Fremont Communications. Mr. Dachs served as Chief Financial Officer of Dual Drilling Company. He began his career in Finance at Chemical Bank and New York Trust Company. Mr. Dachs entered the construction industry in 1974. He joined Bechtel's Refinery and Chemical Division. Mr. Dachs served several field construction assignments. He is a member of the Boards of Directors of Bechtel Group, Inc., the S. D. Bechtel, Jr. Foundation, and PIX System, LLC. Mr. Dachs is on the Board of Trustees of MIT Corporation. Mr. Dachs is Chair Emeritus of the Board of Trustees of The Conference Board. He serves on the Board of Trustees of The Landmark School. He served as the Chairman and Vice Chairman of Board of Director at American Academy of Arts & Sciences. Mr. Dachs joined the Project Finance Group at Bechtel's San Francisco headquarters. He serves as the Chairman of Wesleyan University. Mr. Dachs serves as Chairman of Board of Trustees at The Conference Board, Inc. He serves as a Non-Executive Director of Bechtel Group, Inc., Fremont Group, Bechtel Enterprises, and ESCO Corporation. Mr. Dachs serves as an Honorary Trustee of The Brookings Institution. Mr. Dachs is Chair Emeritus of the Board of Trustees of Wesleyan University and received an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from the university in 2007. He has a BA from Wesleyan University and an MBA from New York University.
