Dr. Shawn Thomas

Biography

 Born and raised in the suburbs of Des Moines, IA, he first got interested in working with animals during the summer of 2001, thanks to Steve Irwin (“The Crocodile Hunter”, rest his soul). He went to Iowa State for his undergraduate degree.  While there, he did an internship at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando, FL.  There he met his beautiful wife, who hailed from Puyallup.   He moved back to Ames, IA for vet school in 2008.  Since then he has adopted the two greatest cats in the world (Anakin and Phoenix), became focused on small animal general practice, developed an interest in dentistry and small animal surgery, had the most beautiful baby boy on the planet (Ben), and moved to Washington.
