Ms. Anke Schäferkordt

Biography

Ms. Anke Schäferkordt serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland since 2005, an affiliate of RTL Group SA. Ms. Schäferkordt served as the Co-Chief Executive Officer at RTL Group SA since April 19, 2012 until April 19, 2017. Ms. Schäferkordt has been a Member of Executive Board at Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA (formerly Bertelsmann AG) since April 19, 2012. She served as the Chief Executive Officer of RTL Television GmbH since September 2005. She serves as a Member of the Executive Board of Bertelsmann Management SE. She began her career at Bertelsmann AG in 1988. In 1991, she went to Cologne to become an Executive Assistant for sales controlling and strategic planning at RTL Plus (now RTL Television), taking over the controlling department the following year. From 1993 to 1995, She was a Director in charge of the Corporate Planning and Controlling division at RTL Television. In 1995, she moved to the TV broadcaster Vox, serving as Chief Financial Officer and since 1997 onwards, also as Programme Director. From 1999 to 2005, she was the Chief Executive Officer of Vox. In February 2005, she was appointed Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of RTL Television, responsible for Finance, Technical Services, Information and Media Policy as well as the General Secretariat, the advertising sales unit IP Deutschland, the Vox channel and RTL Group’s holdings in N-TV and Super RTL. She has been a Member of the Supervisory Board at Métropole Télévision SA since APril 28, 2015. Ms. Schäferkordt has been a Member of the Supervisory Board at BASF SE since December 17, 2010. She served as an Executive Director of RTL Group SA since April 18, 2012 until April 19, 2017. She served as Member of the Supervisory Board at Software Aktiengesellschaft since May 21, 2010 until May 13, 2015. Ms. Schäferkordt holds degree in business administration.
