Hugo Lam

Biography

    Hugo leads the science and bioinformatics teams at Bina, directing the research and development progress towards more accurate, robust and faster pipelines for analyzing and interpreting genomics data. He brings over ten years experience in IT and genomics, including time at 23andMe and Personalis. Hugo received his bachelor's degree in biology from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and his master's degree in computer science from the Imperial College London. He also holds a Ph.D. in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics from Yale and was a postdoctoral scholar in Bioinformatics at Stanford. In his free time, Hugo enjoys swimming and playing snookers.
