Biography
Dr. Dryga joined BioDirection in 2014 and has extensive experience in building cross-functional R&D teams and leading development of In Vitro diagnostics, reagents and vaccines. Dr. Dryga is an experienced product-development leader with expertise in nano-biotechnology, molecular biology, protein engineering, system integration, and electrical and software engineering.Prior to joining BioDirection, Dr. Dryga was VP of Immunochemistry at nanoMR, Inc., where he led the development of pathogen capture system for detection of sepsis. He held positions of increasing responsibility at SeraCare LifeSciences, Inc (Director, Virology/Immunology) and Alphavax, Inc. (Director of Analytical Research). Dr. Dryga is an inventor on 11 patents and over 30 patent applications; his work has been published in 16 peer-reviewed articles.Dr. Dryga has a Masters Degree in BioOrganic Chemistry (NSU, Russia), PhD in Molecular Biology (IMB, Russia) and MBA from Kenan-Flagler Business School (UNC). He completed post-doctoral training at Washington University in St. Louis in the lab of Prof. S. Schlesinger, where he studied replication of alphaviruses.
