Biography
In 1980, Tim Barrett received a Bachelor of Arts and a Business Administration Certificate from St. Louis University where he later received his Juris Doctorate in 1983. Prior to joining Biomedical Systems, he worked as an attorney for a St. Louis based law firm. Tim began his career at Biomedical Systems in 1987 as Vice President, Corporate Development/General Counsel. In this capacity, he was involved in several corporate acquisitions as well as the sale of a division which provided substantial capital to fund the expansion of the company’s current operations. In 1991, Tim took over management of the company’s Centralized ECG Division. Subsequently, the division grew through its provision of clinical trial services and centralized data to the pharmaceutical industry. In his current capacity as Chief Executive Officer, Tim Barrett oversees operations in the United States, Europe, and Asia. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Tim devotes his time and resources to several civic and charitable organizations in various capacities including the Productive Living Board for St. Louis County Citizens with Developmental Disabilities, De Smet Jesuit High School, and Villa Duchene/Oak Hill School. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of Triad Bank.
