Michael Martin Beeghley

Biography

 Mr. Michael Martin Beeghley founded Applied Economics LLC in 1998 and serves as its President. Mr. Beeghley has been the Chief Executive Officer at Bioptix, Inc. since April 6, 2017 and has been its Chairman since January 2017. He was an Execution Partner of Jacobs Capital LLC. Mr. Beeghley served as a Manager in the Corporate Finance Group of Ernst & Young, LLP and a Senior Analyst in the Corporate Finance Group of PriceWaterhouseCoopers, both international “Big Four” accounting firms. He has 25 years of financial industry experience, including 23 years specifically in corporate finance and securities valuation. He has been Independent Director of Majesco Entertainment Co since December 2015. He is an expert on mergers & acquisitions and securities valuation. Mr. Beeghley has been Independent Director of PolarityTE, Inc. since December 18, 2015. He has been a Director of Venaxis, Inc. since November 30, 2016. He has been Director of Bioptix, Inc. since November 30, 2016. He serves as Trustee of Atlanta Ballet, Inc. He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers (“ASA”). He quoted and interviewed for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Atlanta Business Chronicle, The Georgia Business Report (GPTV), Catalyst Magazine and Reuters News Service. Additionally, he has testified as an expert and provided expert opinions on numerous economic, financial and securities issues. Mr. Beeghley holds a Master of Accountancy in Taxation and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia. Mr. Beeghley has a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Master of Business Administration from Mississippi State University.
