Mr. Richard J. Whitcomb

Biography

 Mr. Richard J. Whitcomb, also known as Rick, has been Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at Venaxis, Inc. since September 16, 2016. Mr. Whitcomb has background in operations, services and finance. Mr. Whitcomb served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of BiOptix Inc. from April 2009 to September 2016. Prior to BiOptix, Mr. Whitcomb served as Senior Manager of the On Site Services business for Agilent Technologies' Electronic Measurement Group from December 2004 to July 2008. His background also includes several years of Corporate Development experience for Agilent and Hewlett-Packard Co. He served as Chief Financial Officer for the Communications Network Solutions business unit at Agilent from May 2002 to November 2004 and served as its Business Development Manager in Corporate Development in Palo Alto, California. He has substantial international experience and served five years in Europe for Agilent and Hewlett-Packard Co. from September 1989 to January 2000. He served with scientists in Agilent Labs and HP Labs to move promising new technologies from the lab into commercialization and ultimately into the hands of customers. Mr. Whitcomb served as Member of Board of Directors of BiOptix Inc. from April 2009 to September 2016. Mr. Whitcomb holds a BSc. Degree in economics from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis and an MSc. in finance and econometrics from the Leeds School of Business in Boulder, Colorado.
