Biography

Ms. Elizabeth A. Smith, also known as Liz, has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bloomin' Brands, Inc. since November 2009 and serves as its President. Ms. Smith serves as President of OSI Restaurant Partners, LLC. She served as the Chief Executive Officer of OSI Restaurant Partners LLC since November 16, 2009. She served as the President of Avon Products Inc. from September 2007 to October 30, 2009. She served as an Executive Vice President of Avon Products Inc. from September 2005 to September 2007. Ms. Smith served as the Brand President of Global Marketing of Avon Products Inc., since January 2005 and served as the President of North America and Global Marketing from August 2005 to September 2007. From September 1990 to November 2004, Ms. Smith worked in various capacities at Kraft Foods Inc. She served as the Group Vice President of Kraft Foods North America and President of U.S. Beverages and Grocery Sectors for Mondelez International, Inc. from January 2004 to November 2004. She served as the President of Beverages, Desserts and Cereals Group, a division of Mondelez International, Inc. from October 2002 to January 2004. She joined Mondelez International, Inc. in 1990 as an Assistant Brand Manager of Jell-O Ready-to-Eat-Snacks. Ms. Smith served as Vice President of Field Operations at Furr's Restaurant Group, Inc. since January 2002. She joined Furrs Restaurant Group Inc. in 1981. She served as Vice President of Operations at American Caresource Holdings, Inc. since January 2009. She has been Chairperson of the Board of Directors of OSI Restaurant Partners, LLC since January 2012 and has been its Director since November 2009. Ms. Smith has been a Director of Bloomin' Brands, Inc. since November 2009. She has been a Director of Hilton, Inc. since 2013. She serves on the board of directors of U.S. Fund for UNICEF and H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute (Tampa, Florida). She served as a Director of Carter's, Inc. from November 4, 2004 to December 2008. She served as a Director of The William Carter Company since November 2004. She served as an Independent Director of Staples, Inc. from September 2008 to June 2, 2014. Ms. Smith holds a bachelor's degree, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She holds an M.A. from University of Virginia.
