Biography
"I've always been fascinated with the "how" of things and especially the processes that makes it all happen," says Bruce. This is both analytical, which explains his fundamental love of survey and water resources, two specialties that are rooted deeply in analytical mathematical and physical sciences; but also facilitative, which relates to making it happen and has taken him into such processes as computer programming, contracts/specifications, and the decisioning of organizations and governments with all the associated hearings/deliberations/legislating/permitting. Civil engineering for public clients is a perfect fit for Bruce, Vice President and Specialty Services Leader. He has served as a project engineer and land surveyor since 1974. He currently provides managerial oversight and quality/technical control of the firm's Civil Work Group as well as direct supervision for a range of engineering and surveying projects. Bruce has served numerous communities as City Engineer and has been involved in a range of engineering improvements, planning, and studies. When not engineering, Bruce enjoys photo archiving and diving into family history as well as history and research of fossils, rocks, and geology.
