Biography
Dr. Schreck is Executive Director of Science and Technology at BBA. In this role Dr. Schreck provides both domestic and international clients with pre-clinical strategic technology development assistance. He has over 30 years of experience in research and development of medical devices in the following arenas: academic and corporate research, product development, pre-clinical and clinical research, business development, and intellectual property. Dr. Schreck is available to clients to help them prepare for early feasibility testing and first in human use and can be of great assistance in developing materials and attending FDA meetings in support of clients’ effort to gain EFS IDE approval as he is able to pull from his extensive experience in the industry. Prior to joining BBA, Dr. Schreck served as Chief Technology Officer of Endologix and JenaValve and has also held senior R&D positions at Pfizer and Edwards Lifesciences. Before working in industry, Dr. Schreck conducted biomedical research at the University of Houston, Houston, TX, the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, and the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA. In addition to being the inventor on more than 30 US patents, Dr. Schreck has published 13 scientific articles on a variety of topics associated with cardiac care and fatigue testing along with publications associated with the structure of the human nose. Dr. Schreck earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston and his M.A. in Aerospace Engineering from the Technische Hochschule Munchen in Munich Germany.
