Biography
Before coming to BU, Mary Beth taught French language, civilization, and literature at Vanderbilt University. She directed the Vanderbilt Study Abroad Program in Aix-en-Provence and also served as Director of Undergraduate Studies in French. She enjoys teaching all levels of French, with a special interest in connections with other disciplines, including French for the Professions. In addition to teaching French, Mary Beth is Assistant Director of Language Instruction and offers advising related to foreign language placement, proficiency evaluation, and transfer and study abroad credit. Her research focuses on 19th-century French women travelers to the United States
