Biography
Mr. Magnus James Gorrie, also known as Jim, serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC. Mr. Gorrie is responsible for the Brasfield & Gorrie construction projects within the seven regional offices and 29 operating divisions. Mr. Gorrie began work for Brasfield & Gorrie during the summers while in high school, working at the equipment shop and on various jobsites as a laborer. He served in many roles since joining Brasfield & Gorrie full-time in 1984, including Vice President and Manager of the Commercial Division, Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager and Estimator. He has been an Independent Director at Energen Corporation since January 1, 2014. He has been an Independent Director of ProAssurance Corporation since May 2012. He graduated from Auburn University in 1984 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Building Science.
