Biography
Dr. Ram Rai received Ph.D. from University of Kentucky in Physics.D r. Ram Rai's research area is experimental condensed matter physics with emphasis on low-dimensional electronic and magnetic materials, including multiferroic materials, molecular magnets, charge-density-wave, and transition metal oxides via optical, magneto-optical, electro-optical, and transport techniques. His primary focus in the optical studies is to investigate the coupling processes, such as spin-lattice-charge coupling and to correlate the spectroscopic spectra with underlying structural characteristics, the phase transitions, and other physical properties of novel materials. He has published many research papers in reputed journals.
