Biography
Foaad Khosmood is an Associate Professor of Computer Science, and the Forbes Professor of Computer Engineering at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly). Foaad received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California Santa Cruz in 2011. His dissertation work was on "Computational Style Processing". His research interests include Natural Language Processing (NLP), Artificial Intelligence, Interactive Entertainment and Systems. Dr. Khosmood is Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Technology & Public Policy. He is also a board member, CTO and past president of Global Game Jam, Inc. where he helps to organize the world's largest game creation activity. At Poly, Professor Khosmood usually teaches Operating Systems, Interactive Entertainment Engineering and Natural Language Processing. He serves as the faculty advisor for the Cal Poly Game Development club (CPGD).
