Biography
John Saghri joined Cal Poly in 2000 where he is currently a professor in the electrical engineering department. His prior positions include a visiting professor in the electrical and computer engineering at Kuwait University, a senior scientist at Lockheed Martin Space Systems in Palo Alto California, and an engineering specialist at the Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo California. His research work is in remote sensing, radar, computer vision, target recognition/tracking, bandwidth compression/coding, and signal processing. His publication record includes over sixty papers and several textbook chapter contributions. Dr. Saghri is a fellow of the SPIE and a life senior member of the IEEE.
