Biography
Doris Abrishami graduated with a Bachelors of Science in the Radiologic Technology Program from California State University Northridge (CSUN). Shortly after graduation, Doris was hired at Northridge Hospital Medical Center. She has been working at Northridge Hospital as a senior diagnostic technologist for the past 16 years. Two years after she was hired as a technologist at Northridge Hospital, Doris was offered to take a leadership role as Clinical Coordinator and adjunct faculty at CSUN. She recently obtained her Masters degree in Higher Education from Michael Eisner College of Education at CSUN and accepted a full time faculty position as Assistant Professor in the Health Sciences Department. She has also been active in providing “Cultural Diversity” talks and offering methods to guide technologists with this on-going subject. As a member of CSRT, ASRT and an educator in higher education, Doris is determined to educate the next generation of radiographers so that they can be constructive and valuable members of the imaging departments around the nation and in the world.
