Biography
Jake received a B.A. from San Diego State University, an M.S. in Kinesiology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and a Ph.D. in Human Physiology from the University of Oregon. He has a wide range of research interests, all of which can be considered neuromechanics—or how an individual’s biomechanical movements are shaped by sensory information. Some of these interests include locomotor adaptation and rehabilitation, prosthetic design, and the coupling between visual input through gaze tracking and motor output. His work has been published in journals such as Experimental Brain Research, Journal of Biomechanics, and Journal of Motor Behavior.
