Biography
My doctoral work involved investigation of foreign gene expression in various plant tissues. In my postdoctoral work, I studied the incorporation and expression of the reporter gene (jelly fish green fluorescent protein or GFP) in herbicide tolerant weed species. Currently I am working in the field of biotechnology based biofuel development. My lab focuses on genetic transformation of plants and bacteria to produce biofuel like compounds.
