Biography
Dr. Schaal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at California State University, Northridge, and Director of the CSUN Ultrasonics and Applied Mechanics Laboratory as well as of the CSUN Keck Composites Laboratory. His research interests include wave propagation, nondestructive testing, medical ultrasound and experimental techniques. His teaching interests are in the areas of solid mechanics, smart structures and controls.
