Biography
Mirna Sawyer is an Assistant Professor in Public Health in California State University, Northridge’s (CSUN) Department of Health Sciences. Her research interests include family food decisions, food access, school lunch reform, and overweight and obesity. She and Nellie Duran, PhD in the department of Family Consumer Sciences are currently working on the Valley Food Environment Study (VFE.) The VFE aims to explore Latino teen food behaviors in the San Fernando Valley.
