Dr. Adnan Siddiqui

Biography

Dr. Adnan Siddiqui was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. He moved to Salisbury, NC at the age of 14 and graduated high school from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. He received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed a combined Anatomic/Clinical Pathology residency and Hematopathology fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University. There, he was honored twice with the Fergus O. Shiel Teaching Excellence Award in pathology education for second year medical students as well as the Resident Research Award. Dr. Siddiqui is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with additional subspecialty board certification in Hematology by the American Board of Pathology. As the Clinical Chair of Pathology at CUSOM, Dr. Siddiqui is passionate about medical education with special interests in systemic pathology and hematology. He currently serves as course director for the Cellular & Metabolic Pathology course taught in the first year and the Blood/Lymph/Immune course taught in the second year. In 2015, Dr. Siddiqui was honored by the Student Government Association with the Edward L. Holder Excellence Award for outstanding teaching and service to CUSOM students. Outside of CUSOM, Dr. Siddiqui is a diehard Duke basketball fan and together with his wife enjoys traveling, the outdoors, and playing with their two young kids.
