Biography
Dr. Larsen’s is a chairman and associate professor in the field of biological sciences in Campbell University. She obtained her PhD in Zoology from North Carolina state University. Her research interests lie in the area of freshwater and estuarine algal blooms, zooplankton community ecology, the effects of agricultural runoff and turbidity on aquatic ecosystems, and other water quality management issues. Dr. Larsen teaches a variety of environmental science courses including Introduction to Environmental Science I & II, Environmental Toxicology and Aquatic Ecology. He is the Coordinator of the Environmental Sciences minor and co-advisor of the Walker Biology Club.
