Biography
Carlos Bustamante is a professor of Genetics Operations and biology. He is a member of Bio-X, Cardiovascular Institute, Child Health Research Institute,Stanford Cancer Institute. He got Provost Award for Distinguished Research, Cornell University (2008).He is a Sloan Research Fellow in Molecular Biology, Sloan Foundation (2007-9), Marshall Sherfield Fellow, Marshall Aid Commemoration Commission (2001-2)He did Ph.D. from Harvard University in Biology (2001),A.M.from Harvard University in Statistics (2001)and A.B. from Harvard College, Biology (1997).
Research Interest
analyzing genome wide patterns of variation within and between species to address fundamental questions in biology, anthropology, and medicine.
