He is a professor of Chemical and Systems Biology, Developmental Biology, Chemistry. He is a member of Bio-X, Child Health Research Institute,Stanford Cancer Institute He is a faculty fellow of Stanford ChEM-H and member of Stanford Neurosciences Institute.He is Chair of Department of Chemical and Systems Biology in Stanford University School of Medicine (2016 - Present),executive Committee Member, ChEM-H Institute (2012 - Present),Director, Advisory Committee for the Scholarly Concentrations Program in the Molecular Basis of Medicine (2012 - Present), faculty director, Stanford High-Throughput Bioscience Center (2003 - Present), Member of Medical Scientist Training Program Admissions Committee (2004 - Present).
Research Interest
the identification of small-molecule and genetic regulators of Hedgehog signaling, the development of chemical technologies for perturbing and observing the molecular programs of embryonic patterning and tumorigenesis
