He is an Associate Professor of Medicine - Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Microbiology & Immunology.He is a member of Bio-X ,child Health Research Institute. He is a faculty fellow of Stanford ChEM-H. He is a Director of Center for Hepatitis and Liver Tissue Engineering (2006 - Present).He got Translational Research Award from American Liver Foundation/Amgen/AASLD (1998-2002),Career Award from Burroughs Wellcome Fund (1998-2005), Physician Postdoctoral Fellowship Award from Howard Hughes Medical Institute (1995-1998)
