She is a Professor of Medicine - Infectious Diseases, Microbiology & Immunology.She is a Medical Director of Clinical Microbiology Laboratory at Stanford Hospital and Clinics (1983 - 1998).She is Chief of Division of Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine of Department of Medicine (2001 - 2008).She is an Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at School of Medicine (2001 - 2013).she is Co-Director of Infectious Diseases Fellowship Training Program of Division of Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medcicine (2014 - Present)
