Biography
He is a Professor of Biochemistry in Developmental Biology and Member of Bio-X and Cardiovascular Institute.He got Outstanding Young Scientist Award from Maryland Academy of Sciences (1997)and National Academy of Sciences Award in Molecular Biology from National Academy of Sciences (1998)and he is Member of National Academy of Sciences (2002).He is Fellow of American Academy of Arts and Sciences (2003).He got March of Dimes Prize in Developmental Biology and March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation (2008).He received Keio Medical Science Prize from Keio University, Japan (2011)
Research Interest
Hedgehog proteins and other extracellular signals in morphogenesis (pattern formation) and in injury repair and regeneration (pattern maintenance).
