Biography
He is an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery and member of Bio-X, Child Health Research Institute, Stanford Cancer Institute, Stanford Neurosciences Institute.He got Judith Graham Pool Award from National Hemophilia Foundation (1991),Kinetics Foundation Award for Research in Stem Cell Biology from The Kinetics Foundation (2004).He focused on how neural stem cells respond to these factors and how these responses influence the integration of newly generated neurons into functional neural circuits.
