Biography
Dr. Barbara Barresi teaches business ethics and leadership in the traditional and graduate programs offered through the School of Management and Leadership. She also serves as the director of the Council for Ethical Leadership at Capital University. Before joining the faculty at Capital, Dr. Barresi was employed as the ethicist for Mount Carmel Health System, in Columbus, Ohio, where she was responsible for the development of a system-wide ethics program. She completed numerous ethical consultations and was responsible for conducting due diligences and ethical discernments in clinical and administrative areas. Dr. Barresi has extensive knowledge of business and community healthcare ethical issues. She teaches general ethical theory to traditional undergraduates and degree-completion students at Capital, and previously at the Mount Carmel College of Nursing, where she was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau the national nursing honor society.
