Ron Merlino

Biography

Ronald J. Merlino joined the Caris Life Sciences management team as Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer, in July 2012, where he is responsible for shaping and leading the company’s information systems and information security strategy. In this role, Mr. Merlino works within the senior leadership team to develop IT strategy to enable the development of innovative and highly customized applications and infrastructure necessary to support leading-edge testing, research and development. With more than 35 years of IT management experience, Mr. Merlino has led large, geographically-dispersed teams to deliver technology solutions to meet challenging customer, regulatory and operational requirements. He specializes in healthcare industry IT leadership, where he has more than 20 years of industry experience, including roles at Fortune 500 healthcare companies. Additionally, he has participated in numerous cross-industry advisor councils related to information technology. Mr. Merlino has been an integral leader in the IT integration efforts of six corporate mergers during his career, and has established himself as an accomplished information technology and security strategist.
