Research Interest
My research focused on the development of novel imaging and therapeutic approaches for prostate cancer. Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) is a type II transmembrane protein which is highly expressed in prostate cancer. Over the past few years, I have identified and synthesized a peptide-based PSMA ligand with binding affinity in nM. Based on this new ligand, I have developed new NIR imaging probes and theranostic photodynamic therapy probes for detection and PDT treatment of prostate cancer. Right now I am exploring other imaging modalites for the detection of prostate cancer.
