Matthew R. Trimble

Biography

Matt has spent his entire professional career serving residents at Saint Elizabeth Home, beginning in 1994. Under Matt's watchful eye, Saint Elizabeth Home has achieved deficiency-free status from the Rhode Island Department of Health, and national accreditation with commendation. In 2001, he was responsible for overseeing the development of the new Saint Elizabeth Home building in East Greenwich, and for helping residents in Providence successfully transfer to the new home. Matt served as project leader of an interdisciplinary team that researched and chose an electronic medical records provider for Saint Elizabeth Community. Electronic medical records were implemented at Saint Elizabeth Home in the summer of 2007. In November of 2015, Matt was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Saint Elizabeth Community overseeing the operating entities Saint Elizabeth Home, Saint Elizabeth Manor, Saint Elizabeth Court, Saint Elizabeth Place, Saint Elizabeth Terrace and the five adult day centers for Cornerstone Adult Services. Matt also headed up the development and opening of the four Green House Homes® at Saint Elizabeth Home. Matt is a 2012,Theta II Class, graduate of Leadership Rhode Island and is presently the Chair of LeadingAge RI and has previously served as Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary. Matt is an active member of (and professionally certified by) the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA). He is a past president of the Rhode Island Chapter of ACHCA and has previously served as vice president and treasurer. Matt also serves on the Board of Directors of Healthcentric Advisors, the states Quality Improvement Organization for the Centers of Medicare Services (CMS). He graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in health management and policy. A proud father of two, Matt enjoys time with family, and volunteers coaching his children in recreational sports. A golfer and a hunter, Matt can also be found with either a golf club or bow and arrow in his hand, pending the season!
