Biography
Mr. A. Janet C. Smith served as Chief Executive Officer of Marsh & McLennan (MMC) from 1992 to 1999 and Chairman from 1992 until retirement in 2000. Mr. Smith is Chairman of the Central Park Conservancy. Mr. Smith serves as a Director of Trident Corp., a limited partnership with over 30 institutional investors. He has been Trustee of Putnam Master Income Trust since 1986. He has been a Trustee of Putnam Master Intermediate Income Trust since 1986 and serves as a Member of Communication, Service and Marketing, Investment Oversight Committees.
