Mr. James R. Hudson, Jr., also known as Jim, serves as President of the Hudson-Alpha Institute for Biotechnology in Huntsville, Alabama and is also its Founder. Mr. Hudson serves as vice president of CityScapes LLC. He founded Research Genetics in 1987 and served as its President, (Research Genetics was sold to In Vitrogen) and also served as its chief executive until 2000. Mr. Hudson has helped to start numerous businesses in the Huntsville area. He is a Co-founder of New Century Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He serves as a Director of PhysioGenix, Inc; Serina Therapeutics, Inc. and Applied Genomics, Inc. Mr. Hudson serves as founding board member for numerous biotechnology companies including Shearwater Polymers, Inc. (now NekTar, Inc.) and New Century Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Mr. Hudson serves as Co-Chairman of the Hudson Alpha Institute for Biotechnology. He serves as a Director of SwitchGear Genomics Inc. and Kailos Genetics, Inc. Mr. Hudson holds an MS in Physics and an MS in Biology from University of Alabama at Huntsville and a BS in Chemistry from the University of Alabama. Mr. James R.
