Biography
Ms. Jacqueline C. Rast Hinman, also known as Jacque, P.E., LEED serves as the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of CH2M HILL, Inc. Ms. Hinman has been the Chief Executive Officer and President at CH2M HILL Companies, Ltd. since January 1, 2014 and Chairman since September 18, 2014. Ms. Hinman views success as equal parts strategy and connection: keeping a sharp focus on what sets the company apart in a changing marketplace, delivering relentlessly and keeping in close touch with the people who energize the strategy—CH2M’s clients, employees and shareholders. She has more than 30 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry. Ms. Hinman served as Senior Vice President of CH2M HILL Companies, Ltd. since January 1, 2011 until 2014 and served as its President of the International Division since 2012 until 2014. Her main focus areas included Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Canada, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Singapore and China. Ms. Hinman served as the President of the Facilities and Infrastructure Division of CH2M HILL Companies, Ltd. from 2009 to 2011. She oversaw CH2M’s Major Programs group, responsible for the delivery of large engineering, technology, construction and operations programs worldwide, including the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Panama Canal Expansion and the MASDAR sustainable city in Abu Dhabi. She served as the President of Major Programs at CH2M HILL Companies, Ltd. and served as its Director of Mergers & Acquisitions since 2009, responsible for overseeing its acquisitive growth strategies worldwide and for completing the 2011 acquisition of Halcrow Group. She served as the President and Group Chief Executive Officer for Consulting, Engineering, Procurement and Construction Center of Excellence at CH2M HILL, Inc., a subsidiary of CH2M Hill Companies Ltd. She Rast served as Senior Vice President of Business Development at CH2M HILL International, Ltd. She rejoined CH2M HILL in 2005 in the Enterprise Management Solutions business. She joined CH2M HILL in 1988 in the Environmental business. Since 2012, she served as Halcrow’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer prior to its integration into CH2M. She served in design management, project management, business development and client group management positions for ten years before starting her own management consulting firm, Talisman Partners. She served as Senior Vice President, Facilities and Transportation Business Group for Earth Tech from 2001 to 2003. From 2003 to 2005, she owned Azimuth Group and served as a senior management consultant for the engineering and construction industry before returning to CH2M HILL. She also served in a senior leadership position in Earth Tech's facilities. She also worked at CH2M earlier in her career, managing civil/ environmental engineering and construction projects. She served as the Chief Executive Officer of a management consulting firm. She has been a Director of CH2M Hill Companies, Ltd since May 6, 2008. She served as a Member of Europe Advisory Board at Catalyst, Inc. She is a Board Member of the nonprofit Catalyst organization. She previously served on the Advisory Board of the Metro Denver Sports Commission and the World Economic Forum Global Advisory Council on Infrastructure. She is a Registered Professional Engineer and is accredited under the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program. In 2014, she was named one of the “100 CEO Leaders in STEM” by STEMconnector® and is a recipient of WorldDenver’s 2014 Women Leading Change Award. She was recognized by the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) as one of the “Women Who Move the Nation” for her contributions in leading and advancing America’s transportation infrastructure. She has a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and received the university’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2015.
