Biography
Mr. Edward L. Mitzel has been Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of Champion Home Builders Inc. since June 1, 2011. Mr. Mitzel has been Chief Executive Officer of eGate Solutions brand at gategroup Holding AG since August 2010. Mr. Mitzel served as Chief Information Officer and Group Senior Vice President of Gate Group Holdings AG (also known as gategroup companies) until July 2010 and its subsidiary, Gate Gourmet Switzerland GmbH. Mr. Mitzel is a highly experienced IT executive. He joined Gate Group Holdings AG in April 2005 as Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Division Americas. He served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Hanger Orthopedic Group, Inc. (Hanger Orthopedic Group of Bethesda, Md.) since April 2002. He served as Director of Information Technology at Provident Mutual Financial Services and has held senior information technology positions with an international construction/marketing company and a long-term care development and management company. Mr. Mitzel holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration and a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Baltimore and a M.A.S. degree in Information Technology from Johns Hopkins University.
