Claire A. Gibbons

Biography

    Claire brings expertise in corporate communications, issues management and public affairs to her role as Director of Marketing & Communications for the CRDA. In addition to staying apprised of developments throughout the three-county region, she directs a multi-tiered branding and communications program including public relations, community relations, advertising, social media, sales literature and direct marketing.Claire has extensive experience counseling executives and public officials on spokesperson and presentation skills, message development and delivery, and crisis communication strategies. She is a seasoned campaign veteran and former executive communications advisor for leading public relations agencies in Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, and Charleston, S.C. While working for a local advertising agency, her strategic campaigns netted two coveted national Silver Anvil awards from the Public Relations Society of America. She is a recipient of the 2012 Influential Women in Business - Rising Star Award and a 2013 Forty Under 40 Award winner for outstanding leadership in the Charleston business community.
