Biography
Devi Prasad V. Potluri, Ph.D. is currently a Professional of Biological Sciences at CSU and the Faculty-in-Residence for IER. He has spent the past 5 years as a Professor of Plant Biology. He is currently involved in research in the fields of stress physiology of selected crop plants and biochemistry using both in vitro and in vivo techniques. In addition, he has participated in research involving Algal and other biofuels and the characterization of corn and sorghum mutants. He is the current program director for the MBRS-RISE Grant. He is also a current member of several professional organizations including the American Society for Horticultural Sciences, American Society of Plant Biologists, Physiological Society of America, and the Illinois State Academy of Science. Devi Prasad Potluri earned his doctorate degree in Botany from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India and his Masters of Science in Botany from Bhopal University, Bhopal, India.
