Biography

Bob Duncan serves as executive vice president of Children’s Hospital and Health System, the state’s only health system dedicated 100% to kids and teens. He also serves as President of Children’s Community Health Plan and President of Children’s Service Society of Wisconsin. With a deep commitment to Children’s vision that Wisconsin kids will be the healthiest in the nation, Bob leads Children’s strategic efforts to partner with residents, community agencies, health care providers and families to work toward achieving that vision. In his executive vice president role, Bob oversees the strategic contracting for Children’s systems of care, population health and the development of value-based contracts. He leads many of Children’s Community Services programs (including foster care and adoption, child advocacy centers, the school nurse program, community health education, and child abuse and injury prevention) with a relentless focus on improving the overall health and well-being of children across the state. A passionate advocate for accessible, quality health care, Bob also leads Children’s Community Health Plan (CCHP). CCHP provides services to individuals who are covered by BadgerCare Plus, a health care coverage program that serves more than 130,000 low-income Wisconsin residents. Bob previously served as Director of the Governor’s Office of Children’s Care Coordination for the State of Tennessee. In that role, he oversaw the state’s efforts to improve the health and welfare of children across Tennessee. He also held a dual role as the Director for CoverKids, Tennessee’s children’s health insurance program that provides free, comprehensive health coverage for qualifying children 18 and younger. Prior to joining the Governor of Tennessee’s cabinet, Bob spent nearly 14 years in a variety of capacities at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare System in Memphis, Tennessee. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Memphis and his MBA from the University of Tennessee at Martin. He also completed the Johnson & Johnson/UCLA Health Care Executive Program at UCLA. Always focused on improving the lives of kids and teens, Bob volunteers his time on the board of directors of the Next Door Foundation.
