Biography
With more than 20 years in preclinical and clinical drug development, Lewis Cameron serves as the executive vice president of oncology development, and general manager. He also provides executive oversight for our Central & Eastern Europe, Asia-Pacific and Middle East & Africa regions. Cameron rejoined Chiltern in 2014, bringing a wealth of experience from working with small and large companies in the biotechnology sector, central laboratories and CROs. Cameron’s early experience was focused on Phase I and II oncology studies, and over the years he has been involved in all phases of development and across many therapeutic areas. Cameron earned his bachelor’s degree from Edinburgh University, a master’s degree in biotechnology from the University of Reading and his MBA from Instituto de Empresa in Madrid. He is based in Madrid, Spain.
Research Interest
His research interest includes small-molecule drug development and in the use of genetic model systems in drug discovery and has deep experience in translational research focused on drug development and the use of genetic markers to predict drug sensitivity.
