Richard Barfield

Biography

    Richard Barfield, FCA, joined Chiltern as chief financial officer in 2013. Barfield is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, having trained with KPMG, and he has held senior financial positions within a number of businesses. He worked for GlaxoSmithKline in Paris and then for BellSouth in Brussels, and subsequently was CFO at the UK-listed companies Northgate Information Solutions and Spring Group plc, where he went on to serve as CEO. Barfield has also worked in a number of private equity-backed businesses in both senior financial and non-executive roles. Barfield studied modern languages at King’s College, University of London, followed by postgraduate studies at the Universities of Paris and Cambridge. Barfield is based in Slough, UK. Barfield is currently a member of the Chiltern Board of Directors.
